We're taking a break to talk about trends other than in gowns/seasons to chat about fun trends for the day of! From simplistic earthy vibes to a bit more trendy tech chic making a statement in 2017 will be on two complete different realms.
Lets start out simple!
Everything found in nature is being utilized in weddings this year. Now from the moment you send out invitations you can give off the vibe through recycled invitations printed with soy based ink. For the day of you can blow your guests out of the water with serene decor that makes a simplistic statement. Here are a few of our favorite ideas:
Line up your aisle with a variety of neutral pots with different plants, shrubberies, and flowers.
Swap out the floral walls for cascading rose chandeliers!
Try a fragrant bouquet - you can reuse this down the road!
Flip out the flowers for small fruit trees & pair decor accordingly.
Tiered Cakes Make the Come Back
After seeing the alternatives like doughnuts, cake pops, and cupcakes the tiered cake will triumph this year. Going super stacked and filling each with fun flavors like pink champagne or salted caramel will bring back the classic tiered cake with a touch of today on the inside. Tiered cakes are also getting modified by technology; cake mapping is becoming one of the more trendier options in the industry by taking the visual appeal through the roof!
Tech Crazy Wedding
When drones first hit the market no one would have guessed it was going to make a mark in wedding photography but it is! Now we can control a drone from a smart phone and really create an epic selfie with the help of modern technology. So instead of the photo- shopped movie scene photos we'll be seeing creative shots from above.
A Twist for Entertainment
Possibly the best idea we've seen out there that we hope to see in more weddings is going a more alternative route to entertainment. Glamour magazine suggests everything from a live choir belting out Beyonce to acrobats and aerialists. Why not think out of the box for this one, it will have your guests talking for years after!
More Than Fur Babies Included
Towards the end of 2016 we started hearing of venues and even a few daring brides including animals other than dogs. We're talking longhorns, goats, and everything in between, much like a twist on the entertainment someone in your wedding party will appreciate a good photo with the animal who showed up to your wedding (and no we're not talking about that one crazy aunt)!
