Who What Wear just published an insightful article on what is out in bridal and what to look forward to as the alternative. Gearing more towards the fashion forward bride who isn't afraid of pushing the envelope especially on her big day! Christy Baird, bridal guru and founder of the acronym LOHO bride (League Of Her Own) breaks down what to expect to see on the edgy brides this year.

Traditional lace is taken over for basket-weaved gowns giving off a 3D effect. We've previously blogged on how 3D drama is coming to life in different forms but this year the actual construction is taking on depth. Rather than embellishments that can be heavy forms of constructions like basket weaving can be lighter.  How perfect is this for a summer wedding? Our take on this trend below is taken on by our newest Tara Keely gown in store!

WWW says ditch the capes this year! Show off your shoulders and leave the drama in the back. Your guests are after all looking at your back for most of the ceremony! This same Tara Keely gown takes on a double whammy with its detachable train.

Pure whites continue to fade away as a gown color choice. Nude underlays will continue to be seen more than ever over the course of the year. Details pop with this difference in a way that just can't happen when you have ivory on ivory.

The contrast on the bodice of Hayley Paige's Halo gown is possibly one of our favorite examples of this trend. Colors are usually flexible with gowns so if this is a trend your not with don't be afraid to ask the color options!
